NYC Guide: Spring Dining Faves
Spring is finally here and hopefully it is here to stay. Living in NYC for most of my life, I feel like this is a tease and once I put away all my winter clothes and coats, we will drop down to sub-zero temperatures. Fingers crossed it doesn’t! So starting with this issue, I will highlight 3 NYC restaurants that are worth the try if you haven’t been there. This month’s issue has three that also have great heated outdoor spaces if the temperatures do drop again.
THE ODEON
WHY
Because the vibe is great and relaxed
WHAT
French inspired fare with a NYC vibe
WHERE
In the heart of Tribeca
WHEN
Sundays during what I call family time (~11:15) because it’s not too crowded and loud and it gives you good time for strolling to burn off those brunch calories
WHO
Girlfriend catch up or casual brunch with friends
MUST HAVES
The burger, mac & cheese, and bloody mary. And I do approve having this all in one sitting
Casa Mono
WHY
Because I love my Michelin Star Restaurants
WHAT
Spanish Small Plates
WHERE
Gramercy
WHEN
Lunch if you want less crowds; dinner if you want to fight for a resi
WHO
Your bestie or romantic date
MUST HAVES
You really can’t go wrong but my faves are the sardines, pepper stuffed with oxtail and skirt steak. Make sure to pair with your choice of wine from their extensive wine list.
Sola Pasta Bar
WHY
Because we all like to carb load once in awhile
WHAT
Bespoke pasta dishes amongst other delectables from their menu
WHERE
Tribeca
WHEN
Evenings after 5. If you want a longer stay, opt for the early reservation or the last reservation
WHO
A group of friends or date night with your boo
MUST HAVES
The five course pasta tasting. You won’t regret it. Just make sure you have a light lunch prior.
